Kristin L. Tindell is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 24 years of experience working with individuals on the spectrum of autism. She started her career with a degree in Elementary Education, teaching Kindergarten. In her fifth year of teaching, a young man with autism would change her life forever. The remainder of her teaching career was in the field of Special Education and specifically, working with children with autism and related disorders. In 1999 she became interested in the field of behavior analysis and began her coursework to become certified. She trained with Dr. Vincent Carbone prior to her certification as a BCaBA.
Kristin graduated from University of Central Texas A&M in 2007 with a Masters in Counseling Psychology, received her coursework from University of North Texas and Florida Institute of Technology, and after this became a BCBA and LPC. She has been in private practice since 2006 and recently started Central Texas Behavioral Solutions. Kristin believes that each client should have an individualized program that meets his or her needs. The program should include therapy in the real-life settings in which the individual will need the skills. She also believes that families should be involved in all facets of the treatment in order for the best possible outcome.
